Polka Dots & Party Dresses

I'm finally ready to post pics of my little girl's completed (or at least close enough) bedroom. Hope you enjoy!

I did two things in this room that I said I would never do: paint my little girl's room pink and use wall decals :) But, she insisted on the pink and the Wall Pops were alot easier than painting 20+ perfect 13" circles! I originally had the whole room painted in Valspar Lemon Parfait but it wasn't doing much for the bed.

I ordered the tufted headboard in a white microfiber and found the bedside table on clearance at TJ Maxx for $20. It was a metallic gold and I sprayed it black to make it a little heavier in the room.

My aunt is a wonderful seamstress and was nice enough to make the bedding. The green pom-pom pillows and duvet cover are done in Michael Miller's dandy damask. I had a friend monogram the two black & white pillows in a more block-style font so the room didn't get too "sweet."

I found the antique chest and chair (which is in the corner you can't see) on Craigslist. I found the mirror (one of my favorite pieces) at a hotel surplus warehouse for $20 and painted it to match the pink wall. The large dress form decal came from Etsy, and was definitely a two-man job to apply.

The cornice board was coverd in a graphic black & white dress form fabric, also by Michael Miller. I ordered the shade from JCPenney.

The finished product!
