My Guest Bath: Before & After

After making a last minute decision to go yellow instead of gray, my guest bathroom is finally complete.

My bathroom before was a sad, blank, little space that had received very little attention since we moved in (we obviously had already removed the mirror when I remembered to take a picture):

After adding a new mirror, shower curtain and a DIY fabric roller shade:

We removed this towel bar and added one by the sink for hand towels instead:

I picked up this framed print at a yard sale a couple of years ago for $10:

A silver footed tray that I found at Goodwill for $2 sits on the window sill.

While it may not stay yellow forever, I'm pleased with my happy little bathroom for now.

  39. It looks great, Emily! Too funny that we are in the middle of a bathroom re-model and going with yellow walls and that same shower curtain (Thomas O'Brien for Target?). Great minds, girl!

  40. This is my first time on your blog and I really love the bathroom transformation! And I absolutely love the black and white shade! Stripes get me every time. One little thing that I wish were different is the wood vanity. If it were painted out in a white, black, or even a charcoal gray then this room would be a total knock out!
