I recently borrowed one of these hollowed pieces of driftwood and this idea from my friend who’s a local floral designer and made a simple little centerpiece by stuffing it with succulents:
I mixed live succulents with some fake ones from Hobby Lobby. Can you tell the difference? (Me neither—I think I’m going back to Hobby Lobby for more.)

I just saw those at HL this weekend and took a pic of them to spread the word...I couldn't believe how real they looked either! Such a cool arrangement that you put together!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great tip to mix real with fake. I just planted some succulents indoors but they don't look nearly as cute as that. I think I need to go to the beach and get some driftwood!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love succulents and have a vintage planter on my breakfast table filled with them, but I sometimes forget to water them-- oops! The fakes look great, you just gave me a wonderful idea on how to use them too!!

ReplyDeleteSimple and elegant, love it! I recently purchased some faux succulents at our local grocery store. The fakes have come along way and they look adorable in my kitchen.

It's gorgeous! The Hobby Lobby succulents are fantastic - I bought several last week and thing they look much more real than ones I saw elsewhere for triple the price!
